Surplus Services assists state agencies in the transfer, donation, and other environmentally-responsible disposal of assets and other personal property no longer needed for state use, through a variety of venues.
State surplus property can be transfered to other state agencies, transferred to other units of government, or donated to organizations eligible to receive federal surplus property.
Surplus Services conducts about a dozen live auctions each year, generally from March through December. These live auctions are open to the public.
Surplus Services also conducts on-line auctions throughout the year.
Surplus Services operates a daily garage sale, open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (except state holidays and the Friday before a live auction).
